Director, Strategic Communications, Human Resources & Equity
Job Bio:
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership on the Division’s overall internal communications strategy for staff and faculty.
  • Advise senior leadership and staff within the Division of Human Resources & Equity and within the Office of the Vice-President & Provost on the University’s employer brand.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for significant Human Resources & Equity-related issues and events, develop key messages and communication plans on behalf of senior leaders.
  • Assist senior Human Resources & Equity leaders in the development of a variety of documents on specific, complex issues including memoranda, speeches, briefing notes and sensitive University communications.
  • Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the Division’s website.
  • Advise on and develop innovative communication strategies using a variety of media intended for a diverse range of audiences.
  • Manage projects as they relate to the University’s communications on a variety of politically-sensitive and high profile employment issues and work with others to develop recruitment communications and branding strategies.
